About us

About Tomms Care.

Tomms Care Ltd is a organisation that provides services to young adults with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), it was set up to fill a gap in the market as these young adults require very specific care packages and do not always fit into main stream services. We provide day and domiciliary care.

It is a family run company and ensures that all the care packages we offer are bespoke and of a high standard, individually tailored to the needs of the young adults we serve delivering 24 hour care if needed. Tomms Care Ltd provides services to the counties of Bridgend County Borough Council and Neath Port Talbot. We will cover other geographical areas dependant on individual circumstances.

We are a progressive service and hope never to stand still. We are always updating our knowledge base of any developments in ASC and incorporating any new thinking into our practice. We acknowledge the young people we serve have the same rights as all of us and hope we can enable them to live a happy and fulfilled life.

Our Staff

Activities

We try and encourage the young adults to become as independent as possible whilst ensuring their safety and wellbeing. In the day centre we have a variety of activities.
We have a complimentary therapist who works one day a week providing reflexology, Indian head and hand massage. We also go swimming, cycling, walking and visit a gym. We have regular cooking and shopping sessions and visit local cafes and restaurants. We have an art and craft room and a multisensory room. All activities are different for each individual and staffing levels reflect this. We also access local colleges some of our young people attending specific courses on a part time basis supported by our staff.
These activities are also continued in the domiciliary care service with the same staff team working in both areas so providing continuity of care.
